clicking sounds and animation on mouse arrows

I get a clicking sound when navigating web pages that I
can't seem to get to go away. I have played with turning
off web page sounds, turning off all windows sounds in
the control panel etc. I also get an exclamation point
and sound when clicking on some web pages like CNN.

Any idea how to turn all that off?

When you changed to no sounds in control panel, did you click "apply"?
(Some people miss this step.)

The click sound should be far down the list under Windows explorer,
navigation.
