Clicking On Links In Internet Explorer Brings Me Back To Desktop..

Running Windows XP Home Ed.------- Lately I've been having this annoying
problem of surfing the net then all of a sudden, I click on a link or
anything else for that matter on the web page and my internet explorer closes
down and drops me back to my desktop. I'm pretty sure its not spyware or a
virus (downloaded spybot and ran full system scan with Norton Antivirus).
I've been throughout this site trying to figure out a solution with no avail.
I do have the pop-up stopper Stopzilla running with internet explorer pop-up
blocker stopped. Is this a problem someone else has had in the past, if so
----- please help....! Could this be a problem with internet explorer and
if so, how can you find the internet explorer file and possibly do a repair
or something of the sort..... Thanks for reading and any suggestions will be
helpful.....

Though i'm not certain what the root of your problem is, you should
definately try using a single popup blocker. Internet explorer's popup
blocker can be set to block all popups, indiscriminately, with the ability to
temporarily disable it by pressing the "ctrl" button when clicking on a link.

It might be that the dual popup blockers cause conflicts which make one or
the other interpret regular windows as popups.
