Clicking noise from laptop speakers

Ivan

Hello,

I have a HP Compaq nx7010 laptop and the problem is this:

Laptop makes clicking noise from the speakers. The problem started when I
broke firewire input on the laptop. I don't think that those two things can
be related, but who knows? Interesting thing is that when I push a mute
button or plug in the external speakers (turned on), the clicking stops. It
is not the real clicking, but more like a helicopter sound from the movies.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this because it really goes on my
nerves - I can't listen to the music, can't do anything that has sounds
included.

Thank you very much in advanced for your replies.
