clicking an email address

when you click an email address on a site or where ever.. it should open up a
new message box in your mail.. that way you can email them without having to
copy paste the address... when i click the email address it doesnt do
anything.. i know that theres somewhere you can change what program opens it
up.. but i cant remember where to find it.. any help.. thanks

Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on "Windows
Mail". If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
