Clicking an email address launches OE - But I'm using Outlook 2003

Hi,

I am using Outlook 2003 as my email client. However, if someone sends me an
email address in the body of an email and I click it, it launches a new mail
window in Outlook Express.

I have Outlook 2003 set as my default email client in the Internet
Properties window. However, I noticed that my default program for contacts
and calendar is blank and when I pull down the drop down list, Outlook 2003
is not an option.

Any idea what's happening?

Thanks,
Gary

If a mailto: link fails to invoke Outlook, you may need to set Outlook as
your default email program, try the following:

In Windows Explorer click Folder Options on the View menu (Win 98) or Tools
Folder Options (Win 2000 and higher).
Click the File Types tab. Under Registered File Types, click to select
URL:MailToProtocol, and then click Edit.
In the Actions list, click Open, and then click Edit.
Press DELETE to delete the text in the "Application used to perform action"
box, and type the following text as a single line (including the quotation
marks) in the box:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"
To save the changes, click OK, and then click Close twice to return to My
Computer.
