Here is a weird question.
When I click on a hotlink on a webpage to download some file, XP will give
me the option to Open, Save, or Cancel. This dialogue box stays opened as
long as no one clicks on one of those options. Is it possible to have
multiple instances of these dialogue boxes open and at a predetermined time,
the Save button is clicked on one dialogue box and sometimes later, the Save
button is clicked on a second dialogue box, and so forth?
I download a lot of stuff from the Internet from various websites.
Therefore, the DSL connection I have cannot handle too many downloads at the
same time. So it would be great if one download starts automatically after a
previous one is finished. Of course, I do most of my downloads at night when
the Internet is more "quiet". However, I can't simply wake up every hour to
start the next download. I know that there are download managers out there. I
have never used them. Are they the solution to my problem? In other words, I
can tell the program to download a file from an URL and after that is
finished, start the next URL? If such an app exist, can anyone recommend me
of a free one?
PS: What is the difference between the XP General board and the XP Basics
board? Aren't they basically the same?
