click to advance slide not working

I

Immas

I have selected advance slide on click for my slide show, but several slides
advance without pause. Some advance on click and some don't. I checked each
slide setting to make sure the click to advance was selected. I have no
specific transition selected and no sound. I have checked the animations
setting for the slides that function and those that don't and the last
setting for animation on all is with previous. I have titles fading in with
pictures, so the last setting if for a title to fade in with a picture that
entered after the previous.

What version of PowerPoint? The instructions for where to find the settings
is different in each version, but ...

Check in SlideShow Setup that -
1) "Browed at a Kiosk" mode is not selected, instead, "presented by a
speaker" is selected.
2) That "Advance slides" has "Manually" selected
3) That on the individual slides "Auto Advance after ..." is unchecked and
that "advance on click" is checked

Report back and let us know the results after checking these things or let
us know the version that you are using and we can point you in the direction
to find these settings.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I am using 2007 with SP2 MSO. The "Kiosk"
mode is not selected and "presented by a speaker" is selected. "Manually" was
not selected so I selected it. All transitions are off for all slides. The
same slides still advance automatically while the others advance on a click.

Is Use rehearse timings checked in the Slideshow tab?
Did you save the file as a new name before you ran the recheck?

I do not have the rehearse checked. Yes I have saved the file under
different name as I made changes and then ran a check. So far I have the
same advance problem when advance manual is check in set up slide show,
advance on click on ribbon is checked and I have tried unchecking the graphic
accelerator. I have tried chenging all animation on slide to activate on
click and the problem continues. I am running a 64 bit system. Could this
be peculiar to this system?

How large is the presentation? Is it something you could email to me to
evaluate?
(e-mail address removed) where the Capital Letters have been removed

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Fires can be big in this
business. HA :) The size of the presentation is 939KB. I have not tried
emailing a presentation, but I will be glad to do so if you would take a
look.
