click sound in Explorer

I have a peculiar problem - whenever i use Internet
Explorer, a clicking sound is associated with mouse clicks.
This does not happen in Netscape, Eudora, or any other
program I use. I figured it must be therefore inherent in
the Explorer browser but couldn't find anywhere to alter
sounds. Windows XP sound choices only seem to apply to
warnings etc. It's no big deal, but it's annoying and I'd
like to get rid of it - any tips?
Thanks!
