Click on folder get search -Help

Hello, I don't know what has happened, but everytime I double click on a folder thumbnail (which I had set) to open the folder it goes to search instead. It happens on every folder, and the only way to open a folder is to right click it then select open or explore. Help! I want to go back to double click to open, which is what I have set in folder options. Double clicking on my computer and software applications from the desktop still open. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.
