clearing user and password entry

for several site i use including some webmail sites, a
text box appears with entries for user name and password.
the user entry already contains user names I have
previously used and are no longer valid. How can i
permanately remove them from being shown as an available
choice? I have tried tools - internet options -
autocomplete and cleared al forms and paswords without
success.

When the scroll down menu appears with your older
usernames, just use the down arrow key to get to the one
you want to delete and then press delete.
