WHEN DOING A SEARCH ON THE I-NET, WHEN I KEY IN THE FIRST
LETTER OF MY SEARCH WORD, IT SHOWS ALL OTHER SEARCHES
THAT I HAVE DONE PREVIOUSLY STARTING WITH THAT LETTER--
HOW DO I CLEAR THE SEARCH SCREEN WHETHER IT BE SEARCH.COM
OR NETSCAPE OR WHATEVER?
THANKS

OOPS! Above solution is incorrect. My mind wandered. The correct solution is
click start---search---click change preferences---turn off auto complete.

Please do not post in all capitals - it implies that you are
SHOUTING!!!

This is something I and many others have been trying to solve here for quite
sometime. Yes, if you turn autocomplete off and click on clear forms it will
not show the choices, however when you turn it back on (autocomplete) ...
there they are again!
I have tried many, many solutions and programs such as tracks eraser pro
claiming to clear all this, deleting history, temp files, index data,
cleaning the registry, deleting MRU' and using Kelly's registry cleaners to
no avail.
This is more of an annoyance for me but I hope someone will find the
solution!
