If your concern is to make any files on that hard drive completely
unrecoverable for security purposes, there are various free or shareware
products on the market that will "scrub" the free space on the drive. You
can do a search for "wipe free space" on Google. One product that I have
used is called QuickWiper. It is easy to use, but a bit slow, so this is one
of those chores to start, then go do something else for a couple of hours
while it does it's thing.
