clear smart tag in "To" field

When I start to enter letters in the "To" field, a smart
tag pops up with suggested matches to the name. Problem
is, some of the choices are people I no longer have in my
contacts. How do I clear this list?

When a name/address shows up that is incorrect or has been deleted, use your
arrow to reach the name then press the delete button.
