If you don't mind doing a little surgery in your registry, the names are
stored in the following key (replace 11.0 with the appropriate version
number):
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Open Find\Microsoft
Office Word\Settings\Save As\File Name MRU
With that key selected in the tree of the registry editor, double-click the
word "Value" on the right and remove some or all of the entries.
