Hi NG

I got the challange to clean up unused printer queues. To work with the
eventviewer is not a practical idea, because i have approximate to clean up
500 queues from 1846 queues. Is there a way to find out at witch time are the
queue the last time was used? or just to clean all queues that are not used
in the last three months?

What would you do in my situation? Thanks for your hint.

Try restarting the spooler service or post some more details of what you're
wanting to do.

I would get into the printer queue as the administrator and
delete all pending print jobs

Hi

Oh there is a misunderstanding. Just imagine:
There was a printer enrollement from approximateli 500 new printers. The
Administrator (not me) just have definied the new Printer queues. The old
Printerqueues was not deletet at that time. Now, i have to find out which are
the old Printerqueues and then delete them.

All the Printserver a just working fine. Somme off the queues dont have a
physicli printer behind and somme queues are still on the server but no user
have a connetion to that queues or no user are using that queues. It would be
nice to find out at which time the queue was the last time used. Or just to
delete the queue, if this was not used in the past tree month.

How can i do that?

Thanks for your help
Tiago
