clean install xp service pack 2

newest bios they have
256 ram
40 gig drive
this is clean install
did all dir per http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm

still no joy errors with ie you name it
checked maxtor drive all good
added patch

Can you give morre details about your problems? "no joy" is not enough!

I've install SP2 as upgrades and with clean install without problems.

product activation error on 1 reload
errors trying to run msconfig
