Classic Start Menu

I much prefer the classic menu. Carelessly, have lost/deleted the "Set
Program Access and Defaults" entry from it. Would very much like to get it
back. Could some kind person provide a step by step "idiots guide" please.
(I know there is a tick box for it on the standard start menu).

The usual remedy is to retrieve it from the Recycle Bin. If you
emptied that one too (why?) then you can do this:
1. Right-click Start / left-click Open All Users
2. Right-click anywhere in the blank space, then left-click New.
3. Click "Shortcut".
4. Enter this command line, then click OK:
%SystemRoot%\system32\control.exe appwiz.cpl,,3
5. Enter whatever description you fancy.

Open Windows Explorer and browse to the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu

From the File menu, choose New, Shortcut. Type
"%SystemRoot%\system32\control.exe appwiz.cpl,,3" in the "location of the
item" textbox. Mention the shortcut file name as "Set Program Access and
Defaults". Click OK.

Grateful to both respondents. By following the Explorer route I have got the
shortcut back.

Sorry to ask further, but can you tell me how to get the icon back also, as
displayed in the standard start menu and at "Add/Delete Programs" screen.
