Classic Logon in a Domain Environment

Hello Everyone

I would like to pick the brains of my fellow IT administrators out there and
ask you can or would like to about the logon screen? I've readup and
researched about disabling fast user switching and I have used the group
policy editor to turn it off and turn off the hooks for it. But I want to
know how I can get the classic type logon box so that users will be able to
log in easily once we deploy this in a few months. If users have to click on
the mouse 3 or 4 times before they can just simply log in that is going to
fly like the proverbial fart in church.

Thanks for your time...

Hi Daniel,

Are you referring to the classic Win2000 logon box? Click start and type
"control userpasswords2" into the search line and hit <enter>. On the second
(advanced) tab, there is a box to enable this.

That only enables secure log on (CTRL+ALT+DELETE), which is already enabled
when you join a domain. He wants the classic log on ui which requires that
you sometimes type in your user name and password if more than one person
use that pc.

Basically, the log on ui available in 2000 Server and Server 2003.

Yes that is correct, I need to get that back. I know for a fact that users
will not tolerate the multiple steps to log on to a Vista machine, I find it
myself a little aggravating.
