Clarification of XP license and activation

I read the explanations about activation on the MS website
and there is a place where the wording *implies* that there
is a limit to the number of times that you can un-install XP
on a given machine, install it on a completely different
machine, and then re-activate it.

So, can this be done an unlimited number of times or not?

Thanks,

David C.

You can activate it on the same machine as many times as you want. But,
I think if you do it too often in a short perios of time, you might trip
a flag that would require you to call for activation. This is because the
Activatio Computer "THINK" your trying to install on more then one
machine. A simple Toll-free cal will resolve this. This is just a matter
of software not being as smart as people like to believe.

Per the EULA, You can have a copy of Windows installed on only one
machine ata time. Retail licenses can be removed and installed on
another machine as often as you choose. This will require a phone call if
less the 120 days have passed between installs.
