Citrix MetaFrame XP on Windows Server 2003

Hi!

I am currently making a study on how can I improve employee productivity. I
have low end PCs and my option was to upgrade all our desktops (approx 100,
including OS, Office System) or invest high end server and apply Citrix
MetaFrame XP on Windows Server 2003, buy 100 terminal service cal and one ms
office system 2003 license. According to our reseller, these are the items I
need but I have one big question about the license on MS office, do I really
need to acquire one office license for all(100 ts clients) my clients?

I don't think that is correct for Office. But the Citrix count is right. I believe that you would have to have at least enough Office CALS for the maximum concurrent users using Office at any one time. For more information, see below.

This is wrong. You still need 100 office licenses. TS is not a license saver
solution. You may endup spending the same or even more (especially if you
add the Citrix add-on where it is not needed and this may be your case, as
it costs a LOT per user). TS will save you money down the road on
administration costs, centralized management etc.
