Cisco VPN client

I was wondering if anyone has tried to install VPN client
on a Windows XP Pro SP1 latop? When I install the client
and try to open the program.
I receive this error message:

The necessary VPN sub-system is not available. You can not
connect to the remote VPN server.

Any help would be appreciated.
