Cisco VPN and SP2

Brad

Once I installed SP2 on my laptop, my Cisco VPN 4.0.1
client disconnects frequently. Before SP2, I could stay
connected via VPN for days.
So far it has only disconnected when I haven't been
sending traffic across the VPN. I have now disabled the
windows firewall and I haven't been disconnected yet.

I would like to use the firewall though. Any thoughts?

I can tell you this: I am having VPN trouble after installing SP2 also.
I have configured Windows firewall to allow incoming packets on port
1723 TCP and 1701 UDP. Still, when I try to connect to the server the
connection times out. The second time I try to connect it connects
immediately. This happens repeatedly.

Here is the firewall log from one of these failed attempts:

2004-08-10 14:50:25 OPEN-INBOUND TCP 1.1.1.1 2.2.2.2 59788 1723 - - - -
- - - - -
2004-08-10 14:50:25 DROP TCP 1.1.1.1 2.2.2.2 59788 1723 208 AP 278336984
3548058995 65379 - - - RECEIVE
2004-08-10 14:50:27 DROP TCP 1.1.1.1 2.2.2.2 59788 1723 208 AP 278336984
3548058995 65379 - - - RECEIVE

The firewall is dropping the connection even though it is configured to
allow them!
