when I insert a CD or DVD in my drive, XP opens a window
and allows me to pick between certain media programs to
run my disk. It also gives me the option of exploring
the CD or "take no action"...how do I add a different
player to that list?
any help would be appreciated..
thanx

just click cancel and use which ever program you want
thats what i do, but what ever media you have installed
to play the cd should be on the list.

Until you have configured the third party player to override the
Windows Media player selection of playing *.cda (compact disk
audio files) no additional device will display in the selection menu
until you have set the action to a default.
