Chm file can't be viewed

I recently download a chm book. The content/index on the left hand side
shows properly but all the links come back with the following error:
"The page can not be displayed:
.... ...
Please try the following
.... ...
Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explore"
Appreciate your help.

Does the name of the .chm file or the path to the file contain a hash
symbol (#)? That would cause the problem you've described. For more
