CHKDSK

I am unable to schedule a CHKDSK at system reboot. What I do is the following:
-in the command prompt I type CHKDSK/F
-I am told that the drive cannot be locked and if I would like to schedule a
checkdisk at reboot
-I type Y
-I reboot and it does not run the check disk
If I schedule it for the other fisical drive thou it does work.
Can anybody help?

Why do you do it from command promt?

Try right clicking on the drive you want to run the check on (f:) open
PROPERTIES then open TOOLS then select check disk/scan disk. It will then ask
you if you want to run one after a restart.

See if that works.

that did it as far as scheduling the CHKDSK at reboot, bt then I got an error
which I cannot remember now, telling me that the CHKDSK could not be done due
to some other obstacle. And it was not "the drive cannot be locked" as that
is what happens when you are already booted up into windows.
