This is XP Pro. Checkdisk reveal that I got a problem with Index.MAP and
Objects.MAP on $130 of file 7431. I run chkdsk with /F several times but it
doesn't fix the problem. I even tried with Norton disk doctor within windows
and command prompt, the system reboot launch chkdsk but when I tried again
the same problem exist. The computer is running OK but I am afraid that it
may some problem lurking. I searched google and there are a lot of people
with same or similar problem but nobody as a clear answer on how to fix it.
Can you help solving this mystery?
Thanks

Do a search for them on your computer, then delete
them, the program that uses them will then rebuild a
new .map file.(You may want to copy them to a floppy(or
burn to a disc) to save incase they don't rebuild with
the programs that use them, that way you could reinstall
them if nessasary.)

They are located at C:\windows\system32\wbem\repository\FS folder. In the FS
folder there are the following files:
-Index.Map
-Objects.Map
-Index.Btr
-Objects.Data
In the Repository folder there is only one file $Winmgmt.cfg. Which ones
specifically should I delete? I want make sure I don't hand up with an
inoperable system. Thanks
