child status 100 - user's mailfolder is full

I would like the most direct answer as to how I can identify when my mailbox
is approaching a "full" status. I was notified by a couple of senders today
that they are receiving a failure notice for e-mails they have attempted to
send. It seems to be only messages with attachments.

I did a pretty thorough cleaning of my folders and thought I had made more
room but senders are still getting the failure notice.

I have reviewed some of the postings for exporting mail to an external hard
drive and once again (due to my technical "handicap") need a direct set of
instructions.

Your assistance is really appreciated!

This is not a Windows Mail problem. The problem is not even in your
computer. The problem is that there are messages in the email server that
has not been downloaded, or something such as that. When others send you
messages and the messages are rejected, the rejection messages are from the
server, not your computer.

You need to get help from the provider of your email service. If you are not
sure who that is, then tell us the part of your email address after the "@";
do not post the entire email address, since spammers will use it.

Windows Mail doesn't care how "full" your Inbox is...
Check your Inbox on your email account provider's server. Most have a web
portal for you to access.
Do some housecleaning there.
Or you can usually use Mail2web, but it won't tell you how full it is...

I am so excited to have discussed this with my business partner! We actually
have web-based e-mail services through a large provider of such AND we use
our Blackberry's extensively to send/receive and delete e-mail messages.
When I logged in to the web-based e-mail service provider and accessed my
account, I had more than 1400 messages in my Trash folder and they were
messages that I have deleted from my Blackberry! Once I deleted those, I had
14% used storage and those were in the Sent folder - messages I had sent from
my Blackberry!

I hope this is helpful to other users because I am ecstatic!
