Child Domain

One of my Child domain o/s was corrupted. So i formatted & redo everything
again.
When i tried to install Active Directory, it prompts an error message
stating that,

"The Directory service can perform the requested operation only on a leaf
object."

"The remote attempt at domain controller forest.can.net to remove the domain
DC=staff, DC=can, DC=net from the forest was unsuccessful."

Pls advice.

Hello William, Did you ran DCPROMO to successfully remove the child domain
from the forest before you formatted the Domain Controller, if not see the
article below to remove it.

I tried the method, using ntdsutil on the forest DC, it was unsuccessful
remove. It shows an error at the step "remove selected domain",

"DsRemoveDsDomainW error 0x2015. (The directory service can perform the
requested operation only on a leaf object."

Pls advive. Thanks.
