Chessmaster 4000 & XP

CM4000 gives this error when trying to run it after
installing it under XP: "The program failed to initiate
properly."

Any suggestions, advice, etc. would be appreciated.

Try running the setup program in compatibility mode - right click on setup,
go to properties, compatibility, Windows 98.

I don't think it works under Win XP. I know CM 5500 doesn't.

That's right. The manufacturer only supports ChessMaster 9000 on XP.
