In Windows ME a I was able to check the levels of ink
remaining in my ink cartridge - how do I do this in XP

The program that does that came with your printer. You
would have to install it.

This is entirely a function of the drivers for your printer. You can try
updating your drivers from the printer manufacturer's website and/or contact
them as to whether or not they are supporting this function in XP. If it is
supported, I would assume you would select your printer in Control Panel
under Printers and faxes, right click, select properties and see if you can
find this function.

go into control panel, click on printers ,then right
click printer ,go to properties, on the general tab click
printing preferences it shows how much ink is left

Only if the driver supports it - it is *NOT* an XP function. If the driver
doesn't and the manufacturer isn't supporting the printer any more then
there's nothing you can do about it.
