I've posted this message on microsoft.public.windowsnt.misc but I find
that this seems better newsgroup for the question. Therefore I am
posting it again. Sorry for any inconvience.

Is there any method to check the free space of a backup tape? I am
using ntbackup.exe to do backup. Can I get such information from the
ntbackup or rsm?

I don't know of any way. I'd be interested if there was. Generally I
wait until the backup overflows and delete some junk and re-run. You
lose, what 8 hours of protection, and the systems run a bit slow,
butas far as I know there's no high-tech solution.

Cheers,

Cliff
