Check Disk Program

At boot, my D drive goes into a Check Disk routine (hit any key to
disable)--I’ve run the complete check disk with no errors on this
drive but I still get the check disk routine for this particularl
drive on start up--how do I turn this off--I believe a registry entry
can fix it. Thank you.

Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. Then type in:
chkntfs /x d: , and hit enter. Reboot your computer.

[This disables CHKDSK from running on drive D:]

The fact that CheckDisk doesn't find anything does not necessarily mean that
there isn't a problem.. it may not be the drive so much as a corrupted file
resident somewhere..

You might want to go to the drive manufacturers website and download their
diagnostics utility.. there is nothing like a second opinion.. also enable
SMART in the system BIOS..
