A friend got a message that reads:
'NMapp.exe-corrupt file. The file in directory \Documents and Settings/All
Users\Application Data\Pure Networks\NetworkMagicLog\logfile.nmapp-exe-4.txt
is corrupt and unreadable. Please run chkdsk utility.
She couldn't get Check Disk to run so I asked for the steps she used and she
replied:
Here are my steps, in numerical order:
1-Start >2-Open 'My Computer'>3-R. Click on 'C'>4-Click properties>5-Select
Tools>6-Check Now>7-Select 'Automatically fix the system errors'>8-Select
Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors>9-Click Start>10-Windows says
'Checking Disk local 'c'>11-Click 'yes'>12-Screen shows 'Local Disk 'C'
properties' window, on top of 'My Computer' window. 13 - Click
'Start'>14>Select 'Turn Off Computer'>15-Select 'Restart'>16- After computer
reboots, 'My Computer' on on the screen.
That's the whole scenario! No chkdsk
Can anyone help because it is beyond my capabilites.
Thanks, Stan
