Check box on a subform

I have a subform with a checkbox and 2 other fields.

When I click on the checkbox, it works fine while working on the
subform.

When I add the subform to my main form, the check box no longer works.
It appears that if I click there that the cursor moves to that
position, but as soon as I click elsewhere, the box is not checked.

Any help would be appreciated.
