Hi - I'm currently using Office Pro 2000 (for FP and ACCESS), and wanting to
upgrade to Office Pro 2003.

I am currently being inundated with spam offering Office Pro 2003 (and just
about everything else) at amazingly low prices (e.g. $40 for Pro 2003) for
software un-boxed for download only with no manual.

Has anyone any experience of these offers - are they legit?

Not legit at all. Remember the adage .. "if it sounds too good to be
true..."
You said it yourself ... it's all SPAM.

For "un-boxed with no manual", read "I burned a copy from another
illegal copy and/or somewhere down the chain an actual real legitimate
copy" -- you'll be lucky if you can even activate it...
