charting time - month / month

does anone know how i can set up a simple chart to indicate programm
priods for ongoing contracts.
the data i'm using is somthing like

JOB NAME............ START...........END

1. Image man.........mar 04.......april 05
2. Bishops Sq..........jan 04........oct 04
3. Clink Street.........june 04......july 04

with new jobs added to the bottom of the list every now and then
