Charting Multiple Series as one line

Hi,

Sorry if this is a dumb question...but I'm stumped.

I want to chart multiple series of data as a continuous line on a
chart, not as seperate lines for each year. I don't know how to link
the series together to make this happen.

Prev
2 54,910 50,470 56,585 55,362 57,086 64,116 69,574 68,975 62,702 65,918 45,600 52,850
Prev
1 59,208 45,975 44,684 49,808 58,267 64,016 64,314 64,472 56,196 54,111 45,757 59,650
Last
Year 60,084 61,768 80,758 70,317 66,054 80,825 71,056 71,779 53,736 75,080 60,279 57,090

I want a line chart that starts at 54,910 and ends at 57,090. I know I
could line them all up in the same row, but this isn't practical for
all the months/years I have to plot.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks!

Hi,

You can create the line based on the non contiguous data but you will
need to do it in 2 stages otherwise the chart wizard will get confused.

Start by select the Prev2 values only (54,910 thru 52,850)
Create a line chart. Right click the chart and pick Source Data.
Goto the series tab on the dialog and click the refedit box at the right
side of the Values textbox.
You should see the selection lines around the 1st part of the data
range. Hold the CTRL key whilst selecting the 2 other ranges that will
make up your data source.

Cheers

Thanks Andy. Worked perfectly. I can see that the Wizard put () around
each series and seperated them with a comma. Thats what I was missing.

Have a great day!
