Changing user login to a network computer

Hi all,

My computer is connected to a LAN network and when I try to access any
computer on the network, a dialog box appears asking me to enter a login id
and password. Now there is this one computer which when I select doesn't pop
any dialog box, instead it allows me to directly connect to it and view its
shared folders. I would now like to connect to this computer through a
different login, but the absence of the dialog box doesn't allow me to. Could
somebody tell me how I could get this dialog box back?
I am using a Win XP professional edition.

If this is a workgroup then change your account password. If this is a
domain then ask Admin.

Are you trying to map the drive thru Windows Explorer, or thru the net use
command? If the former, did you try "Connect using a different user name"? If
the latter, did you add the "/user:" parameter?
