Hi dear all,

I installed (and removed) a programm that somehow changed
my shutdown menu from the cute style with buttons to the
style where one has to click on a dropdown list and select
the style.

I'd really like to change it back to the style with the
buttons (default to XP home eddition) but I can't find it
anywhere (in the registry or group policies).

Please help! Thank you in advance,

James

Control Panel, User Accounts. Click "Change the way users log on or off."
On the next screen make sure that "Use the Welcome screen" is selected.

Yes, I enabled the "welcome screen" but that only aplies
to loging on (and yes, I did have to change that as the
program "powerdefrag" also changed the logon style.

So I still have to change the shutdown menu *sob*

Thanks and best regards,
James

Have you tried the control panel "User Accounts"
utility?

If not then choose "Change the way users log on and
off". Make sure fast user switching is enabled.
