Changing the directory name in Documents and Settings

Hi -

I recently setup Windows XP Home Edition and during the set-up process it
asked for a name. I thought it said that this was changeable later. Anyway,
I put in something, and now the name I want to change is in this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\NameIWantToChange\...... XP won't let me just
rename the directory. How can I change the name of this system directory?

Thanks.

The user profile folders (C:\Documents and Settings\Username)
_cannot_ be renamed, even if the associated user account has been.
So, your best course of action would be to log on using the built-in
Administrator account, create a new user account, with the username
desired. You can then delete the old user account(s).

Thank you very much. I haven't tried
doing so yet, but that solution makes
a lot of sense. And I'd certainly not
like to do anything to adversely affect
operating system. It's working fine
otherwise.

Thanks again.
