A friend has his task bar at the top of the window in XP instead of at the
bottom.
How does he get it back to the bottom?

Right click on the task bar > Uncheck lock task bar
Drag the task bar to the bottom

Thanks for your help. I thought I would try it out on my system and I
managed to shift it to the top after numerous presses of the mouse.
Unless two red lines appear it will not move.
I had the same problem in bringing it back. It took numerous tries.
Is there some knack of doing this?

Hi Blair,

Left click and drag on a blank area with no windows open. I generally find
it easiest to get as close to the start button as possible, and often it's
easiest to just shift one position at a time (rather from top to bottom, go
top/side/bottom).
