Changing system hard drive

I'm sure I'm not the first person to do this...

I want to upgrade my system hard drive to a larger one.
How can I do this and keep my Windows XP activation? Or
how can I transfer my activation from my old hard drive
to the new one?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me with this.
