changing product key after install

Hello all, I'm a new face around here, and I'm hoping for a little help with
a problem I'm having. I work for a small company that resells computers that
are confgured for our users with our software package on it. We've been
using windows 2000 for a long time, and earlier this week decided to upgrade
to XP. In order to minimize production defects, we've opted to use a ghost
image to load the general settings, users, etc. onto the computers, and then
change the Windows product license to the correct one (the one on the side of
the case). I've tried using the VBS script posted on Microsoft's site, but I
get an "invalid operation 0x80041016" error every time. Any help would be
greatly appreciated, as my boss is raring to get moving. :)

Try the following:

The Genuine Advantage Product Key Update Tool is only valid for
users attempting to change their current non-genuine Product Key
to a genuine Product Key - all without a reinstall!
