Changing "OPEN" option in Word 2003

I am using Word 2003. Once the program is open and running, I'll go to the
"File" menu and select "Open." The default location is "My Documents." How
do I change that default to be the root of the "C" drive? I'd appreciate any
help. Thank you.
 
Sorry Sanjay, this is beyond my 'ken' - install-config stuff.
Hopefully someone with this knowledge will hop in here.
