Easier to go Settings \ Control Panel \ System \ Network
Identification \ Properties and rename the system. If you're really
bent on doing it in the registry.... I suppose you could follow the
above path and name it something like "bite my ass system", reboot,
and then go in the registry and search for instances of that
string....

I wouldn't reommend doing it through the registry.

If you need to automate a machine name change, it's better to use a utility
that will do this for you from the command line. Something like
compname.exe at www.willowhayes.co.uk, which is freeware.
