Changing my index, and thickets

Hi. I'm a relatively new user to FP. I tried to change my index page and now
have all kinds of problems. I'm sure I did it wrong (tried to create a copy
and change the names, etc). What I need help in un-doing is: my index_files
folder is now not showing up in FP. I'm sure I somehow got it into a thicket
but don't know how to un-do it.

These folders are ALWAYS hidden in FrontPage.

I'm not sure how it pertains, but originally yes, it was created in
Publisher. That was a number of years ago. I've been editing with Front
Page (very irregularly) for the last few years.

Publisher creates thickets, and almost all Publisher web pages are
extremely difficult to edit, and easily broken. Far easier to start again:
Design a layout in FrontPage, then cut and paste-special (as text only)
text, then format the text. Images can be difficult unless you have the
originals.
