Win 98SE IE6 SP1 w/ all updates

Thanks in advance for any and all help . . .

I want to change the default cookies folder currently at c:\windows\cookies

I created a folder on a different drive h:\temp\cookies.

I then searched the registry for all cookie paths and changed them all
to the new path.

All paths stuck after reboot except the entry in the key

"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders"
which reverted to c:\windows\cookies.

Any ideas on how to make my desired changes stick??

Again thanks in advance . . .

Bill,

You have to change the file path in two registry locations...

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellF
olders]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserSh
ellFolders]

If changing the registry keys don't work, there's something else going
on--such as Group Policy on a network and user login scripts.

Best regards,

Todd

Todd,
THANKS!! It seems that there was no cookies entry in that second
registry key you mentioned. Once I put the entry in, and changed all
the others, all stuck and all is well.

Again, thanks . . .
