changing language on xp

Hello,my mother-in-law recently bought a laptop in France
pre-installed with xp (in French).She wants to change it
to english.Can she? Man in PCWorld said that she might
have to reinstall it then select the language during
installation, but she doesn't have a cd-rom of xp.Can she
reinstall xp using the rescue disk then change the
language? Any advice appreciated. Regards, J

You will need to buy the English language version of XP.
Language cannot be changed.
