I have a C drive 40G, also a D drive 80G.. I do a lot of home video
(vacations, family events etc. ) and it takes a lot of memory. I want to
make my 80G drive my C drive and install a new 160G drive as my D Drive. Can
I do this? How do I go about it?? I do not have a second computer to
transfer files etc. to.

Not really sure I understand what your setup is, but what about putting an
hard drive on a usb 2.0 port? with a ide to usb adaptor and power supply.
Assuming you just want extra storage.
