Changing from page to page causes the monitor to go blank

Whenever I launch IE or move from site to site
(occassionally even from page to page within a site) the
monitor flashes and then goes dark as if turned off
(although the power is still on). By turning hte monitor
off and then on again, the screen refreshes for
appropriate viewing until the next site/page change.

I've reloaded IE6 SP1, Run Virus Scans and nothing
helps. Any thoughts out there?

Does it happen if you use an other program?
If you reduce the IE window do you see the other opened windows in the
background?

I would thing you are having a hardware problem.
